  Two more of Mommie's tuneless ditties...

  The Sea

  You hypnotize me
  with your gentle insistent kiss,
  and draw me deep and deeper
  through the shattering moonlight on your skin
  toward the tropic heat of a distant sea bed.
  Your mouth on my skin
  moves like waves on the shore,
  returning persistently,
  with the surf's rhythm,
  gently nibbling the sand of sanity
  from beneath my fevered flesh,
  pulling me into your sea;
  we are limned with phosphorescence
  from the foamig depth of your desire.
  I swim along coral reefs
  in the greenish glimmering depths.
  I may drown in these sea-caves
  when the tide turns;
  you have lured me forever beyond safe return.
  Your passion is strewn with memory's jetsam:
  gold, rotting lace, and crumbling bones
  of old love affairs.

  Your Silence

  Your silence is so cold,
  my breath steams around it.

  What Is Your Favorite Overlooked Movie?

  what i am talking about a movie that you thought was great, but is mostly forgotten by most people today.. well, my favorite overlooked movie is "a perfect world.

  " in it kevin costner is an escaped felon who escapes from prison with another felon.

  they then break into a house and kidnap a boy who is a (gasp!

  Mommie Dark

  I really like films that are based on real people's experiences. Two of my favorites are "Shine" with Geoffrey Rush, based on the life of mentally-ill pianist David Helfgott, and "Champions" which is about a jockey named Bob Champion who overcame cancer and won the Grand National on a horse that had been injured so badly that the owners almost put it down. (The steeplechase sequence at the end of the film is just bitchin.) Both movies have weepy happy endings.

  I also thought "The Razor's Edge" with Bill Murray was a wonderful film but audiences apparently weren't ready to see the funny man in a straight role.

  im a liceinced electrician now working in wireless communication installations.i love the electrical industry,there is so much to learn and so many different things do work with and technology is always changing.never a boaring day especially when we are working in the office buildings downtown,chicks everywhere!.

  with her bumpty-rumpty sidhe---

  of The Yellow Rose of Texas)
  shy lunatic, gods-blest
  (or curst),
  she travelled the universe,
  saw God and everybody,
  chatted up Mr. Death---
  without leaving her room.

  The wick of her candle
  shone like electrum,
  but daily necessities
  and intercourses
  rendered her tallow
  into a morbidly private shape.

  Her niche

  Why Is It That Americans Here Never.....

  slag off us brits?.

  i read all these posts (mainly by a couple of cuddly norwegians) about how the us needs to get it's act together, then there's a flurry of ripostes, the occasional nasty dig, a few generalisations and then the whole thing peters out until some bright spark feels the urge to start off the mischief once again.. well, im sick and tired of belonging to a perfect race and living in a perfect country.

  the uk obviously has the best economy, the best soccer teams, the best monarchy, the best teeth, the best cuisine, the best weather, the best tv, the best armed forces, the best penal system, the best paranoids,.

  Crystal Method - The Day The Crystal Cracked !!!

  Are crystals mystical objects? I dunno. I do know that I have always loved crytals and prisms. I have always yearned to own a crystal ball, not for divination, but for meditation.

  Among those of great-grandma's possessions left to Papa D is a Swarovski crystal turtle. We strung him into a little hammock and hung him in the bedroom window. I have rainbows in my room for most of every sunny day.

  The coolest thing I've ever seen was a prism effect in my fishtank. The afternoon sun struck the tank and cast a stripe of rainbow wallpaper behind it, and swimming across the rainbow atripe, tiny rainbow fish. All the tetras were prisming the light too. Awesome. My son and I sat, rapt, mouths gaping, watching it; the effect lasted about 30 minutes before the sun's angle changed and the tank went back to just a fishtank.

  Magical? Mystical? Who cares? Crystals are gorgeous. Rainbows are a benign high. I just groove on 'em.
